These settings are normally used when you have an idea about which type of content you want to filter out when allowing your kids to use the computer, especially the Internet. However, if you have no time to configure filters for each type of content, or if you find it complicated, you can use a simpler strategy. All you will need is to specify the age of your child.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2014\/01\/05083828\/34.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3610\" alt=\"34\" src=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2014\/01\/05083828\/34.gif\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Parental Control component in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kaspersky.com\/advert\/free-trials\/multi-device-security?redef=1&amp;THRU&amp;reseller=blog_en-global\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Kaspersky Internet Security \u2013 Multi-Device<\/a> allows you to block web content and limit computer usage with the help of profiles that are pre-configured according to age categories. To select a required Parental Control profile:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">1. Open the application\u2019s main window and click the <b>Arrow Up<\/b> button on the green panel then select <b>Parental Control<\/b><br>\n2. Enter the password (or create one if it has not been set up)<br>\n3. Select the user account that your child uses<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2014\/01\/05083827\/1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3612\" alt=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2014\/01\/05083827\/1.png\" width=\"762\" height=\"363\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">4. In the <b>Profile<\/b> section, click the link that says <b>Change profile<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2014\/01\/05083826\/21-1024x388.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3614\" alt=\"2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kaspersky.co.in\/blog\/files\/2014\/01\/21-1024x388-1024x388.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"388\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">5. Select an appropriate profile:<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Child (4+)<\/span>\u00a0<\/b><b><\/b>is a set of rules to control the user experience of children from ages 4 to 12 years old:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>\u2013<\/strong> Internet use allowed<br>\n<strong>\u2013<\/strong> Allowed to access websites from the following categories only: Internet mail, Forums and chats and Casual games<br>\n<strong>\u2013<\/strong> Downloading of files of all types is blocked<br>\n<strong>\u2013<\/strong> Computer use control is enabled; computer use restrictions are not set<br>\n<strong>\u2013<\/strong> Applications use control is enabled; no restrictions are imposed on computer use<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Teenager (12+)<\/span><\/b> is a set of rules to control the user experience of children from 4 to 12 years old:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>\u2013<\/strong> Internet use allowed<br>\n<strong>\u2013<\/strong> Allowed to access websites from the following categories only: Internet mail, Online stores, Social networks, Payment systems, Forums and chats and <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Casual_game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Casual games<\/a><br>\n<strong>\u2013<\/strong> Control of file downloads from the Internet is enabled, restrictions on file downloads are not set<br>\n<strong>\u2013<\/strong> Computer use control is enabled; computer use restrictions are not set<br>\n<strong>\u2013<\/strong> Applications use control is enabled; no restrictions are imposed on computer use<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to collect statistics on the selected user account without applying any limitations, select <b>Default profile<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>Once the preferred profile has been selected, you can adjust its limitations using the <b>Settings<\/b> links in each section of the profile\u2019s properties (<b>Computer<\/b>, <b>Applications<\/b>, <b>Internet<\/b>, <b>Communication<\/b>, <b>Content Control<\/b>).
