Today we are going to cover what to do when the Protected Browser\u2019s frame changes its color to orange and what you should do to make it green again.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the most common cases.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Kaspersky Internet Security is not providing complete protection of your data: extension is disabled. <\/strong>This message is often displayed when you launch the component for the first time.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2016\/09\/05085715\/1_EN.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10589 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2016\/09\/05085715\/1_EN.png\" alt=\"Trouble Shooting Protected Browser\" width=\"749\" height=\"559\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In this case you should install the <a href=\"https:\/\/chrome.google.com\/webstore\/detail\/kaspersky-protection\/eahebamiopdhefndnmappcihfajigkka\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Kaspersky Protection extension<\/a> for Google Chrome, <a href=\"http:\/\/support.kaspersky.ru\/12084#block1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Internet Explorer<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/support.kaspersky.ru\/12084#block3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Mozilla Firefox<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Operating system updates are not installed<\/strong>. If you see this message, you\u2019ve probably disabled Windows auto update and did not install any updates manually.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2016\/09\/05085714\/2_EN.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10590 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2016\/09\/05085714\/2_EN.png\" alt=\"Trouble Shooting Protected Browser\" width=\"801\" height=\"601\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You should turn the automatic update on in the Windows Update. It\u2019s very <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kaspersky.com\/blog\/why-bother-with-software-updates\/6863\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">important to update your OS<\/a> on the regular basis. This measure helps to protect you from criminals when they try to use known vulnerabilities to infect your computer.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2015\/03\/05092856\/3_EN-1024x730.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10591 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2015\/03\/05092856\/3_EN-1024x730.png\" alt=\"Trouble Shooting Protected Browser\" width=\"760\" height=\"597\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Application Control is disabled<\/strong>. The Application Control monitors the activity of installed software and blocks malicious operations. This is why it\u2019s important to keep this component active.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2016\/09\/05085712\/4_EN.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10592 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2016\/09\/05085712\/4_EN.png\" alt=\"Trouble Shooting Protected Browser\" width=\"749\" height=\"562\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To turn it on in Kaspersky Internet Security, open the Settings window, choose the Protection tab and switch on the Application Control component.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2016\/09\/05085710\/5_EN.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10593 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2016\/09\/05085710\/5_EN.png\" alt=\"Trouble Shooting Protected Browser\" width=\"770\" height=\"574\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong>Protection against screenshots is disabled<\/strong>. The Safe Money component intervenes when spyware tries to make screenshots and send them to hackers. If you see this message it means that this function is disabled.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2015\/11\/05085010\/6_EN.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10594 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2015\/11\/05085010\/6_EN.png\" alt=\"Trouble Shooting Protected Browser\" width=\"802\" height=\"602\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To turn it on, open the Settings window, choose the Protection tab and then the Safe Money. Here check the \u201cBlock capturing screenshots in Protected Browser\u201d option.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2015\/11\/05085009\/7_EN.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10595 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2015\/11\/05085009\/7_EN.png\" alt=\"Trouble Shooting Protected Browser\" width=\"772\" height=\"575\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/support.kaspersky.com\/12085\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Invalid certificate error<\/a><strong>.<\/strong> Security certificate allows secure connections from a web server to your browser. Protected Browser verifies authenticity of websites and warns if there is a problem with it. Certificate error means that the website may be fake, or that connection with the site can be intercepted.
