Kaspersky Lab, a leading information security software developer, announces the commercial release of Kaspersky® Anti-Virus 5.0 for Microsoft ISA Server. This expands the range of products which offer comprehensive protection for corporate networks by encompassing the maximum number of network elements. Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Microsoft ISA Server monitors files exchanged via HTTP or FTP that pass through the Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server firewall. The program acts as a filter, scanning and analyzing incoming traffic for the presence of malicious code. If infected objects are found, the system blocks them, thereby preventing viruses from penetrating the local network. The product offers a wide range of functions. The user-friendly interface is fully integrated with the ISA Microsoft Management Console. The system administrator can schedule automatic updates of the anti-virus database via the Internet, or download updates manually. The monitoring system has a significant number of advantages for administrators. Administrators can set parameters for anti-virus scanning, and create user groups according to their own criteria. In order to maximize anti-virus protection, the administrator is able to create a list of secure servers, and lists of user groups on the basis of types of objects exchanged. This results in increased efficiency since no virus scanning is necessary once servers and user groups are confirmed as secure. The cost of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Microsoft ISA Server depends on the number of workstations and file servers receiving data from the Internet to be protected. For example, protection for a network of 100 elements will cost $1470.
