Kaspersky® Anti-Virus Personal 4.5 took first place in recent comparative tests of eight of the most popular anti-virus programs, according to results published in the January edition of PC Direct, a French IT publication. The program was awarded the highest marks in all categories, beating out competition from Securite Internet (Micro Application), Panda Antivirus Titanium (Panda Software), F-Secure Internet Security 2003, BitDefender 7 Pro, Norton AntiVirus 2004, McAfee VirusScan 2004 Home Edition and Viguard 2003 Perso.
PC Direct reviewers noted that Kaspersky Anti-Virus features both high detection rates and comprehensive control of all computer operations. The review covered every functional element of the antivirus solution, and highlighted the effectiveness of the program in working with email. Kaspersky Anti-Virus not only deletes viruses from the message body, but also fully restores the original contents of messages.
The user-friendly centralized administration system was also mentioned.
