Kaspersky Lab, a leading information security software developer, presents a new version of Kaspersky® Anti-Virus for Linux/Unix File Servers. Version 5.0 includes a range of modifications and revisions which significantly increase the effectiveness of the program and simplify management tasks.
The new product checks file servers working under Linux/ Unix for the presence of viruses. It is an effective tool which scans all file system objects located on the server and neutralizes malicious code. The product also contains a user friendly automatic update system, and has flexible configuration.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Linux/Unix File Servers differs from the previous version in that it includes the very latest developments in anti-virus technology from Kaspersky Lab. The anti-virus engine incorporated in all product components significantly reduces the load on the computer in comparison with previous versions, while maintaining full product functionality.
Additionally, since the configuration files from all of the solution modules are merged, the solution can be managed remotely, thus optimizing administration. The systems for collecting data and presenting statistics have been upgraded; functional imperfections which were present in the previous version due to architectural considerations have been corrected, and the licensing policy has been modified.
